Designed to make them more compact and concentrate the weight toward the hook for better bolt effect. The side grippers towards the hook bait are designed forward to prevent drag should the carp start to pull instead of lift, again to increase the bolt effect. The holes and grippers make it an ideal lead for pack baits. With its gripping power, forward weight, and compact no roll features this could possibly be the best designed carp lead available to ensure a solid hook set.

Leads are well made with grippy texture to the paint helping to keep pack bait in place in addition to the holes and grippy dots.

I have used all of the name brand method feeders on the market. The Trilogy leads out perform all of the others in quality, performance, durability and price. I fish for carp 3 times a week and my friends and I have caught over 500 carp so far this year. My buddy and I caught 48 carp one day last week. We have landed 30 pounders with over 20 pounders on a regular basis. Trilogy leads are unbeatable all around and we will stick with them as our method feeder of choice.

These and all Trilogy leads are superior to all the major brand leads I’ve used. I don’t know what kind of paint or coating they use, but it will not come off. These method leads hold packbait better than any other lead.
To Sica, who left a review earlier - The lead is supposed to come off the swivel after a bite. Enough resistance to hook the carp, but it can move freely over your line after that. It’s a classic “running lead”. This way, if your line somehow gets cut during a fight, the carp won’t be dragging around a lead and it will be easier for the fish to get rid of the hook. Also be sure to use a size 8 swivel, which will hold properly, and not a smaller swivel. Please don’t use a stopper above the lead.

I love these leads. Just the right shape to really hold the packbait. The pain coating is durable, and also provides extra grip to help hold the bait on the cast.
